Volleyball started and I LOVE IT! It’s so fun and the time really just flies by and I’m so happy I pushed myself to try in the first place! I was super nervous the very first day for around 20 minutes but my worriedness quickly faded away and I was just focused on playing. One of the first things the coaches did was to establish a few rules. I was expecting things like don’t talk while the coaches talk and put away the balls and stuff like that but these rules were more psychological rules. A rule that was probably hardest for me not to break, was to never say sorry. It seems simple enough, but it’s crazy how many times the word sorry would just slip out of my mouth and I’d be on the floor doing push-ups.
I have a notebook in my room that says this – It’s only frightening until you start. It stands in my bookshelf, across from my bed, a constant reminder to myself that it’s okay to be uncomfortable. I am someone who says they love change – and in some ways, I do. But I think a better way to say it is that I love change in a controlled environment where I myself and running towards change. Do I like being confronted with change? If I think about it, no not really. Then again, does anybody? We, humans, are materialistic and attached, how could any of us like being thrown into abrupt change?
This post was originally going to be about the YouTubers I’m subscribbled to. Once I started writing it though, I realized that writing that post was just a huge hypocritical mess. I’m trying to cut back on the amount of time I watch YouTube (which has actually been going pretty well yay) and it kind of just hit me that telling other people to watch YouTube wasn’t what I wanted to say. If I’m going to be honest, as fun as YouTube is, it really is a huge waste of time if used recreationally. There are so many other fun things you could be doing, and that’s kind of what inspired me to start this series.
My friends know me for my random and funny (still don’t really see how these are amusing but apparently they’re hilarious?) obsessions. Whether they last a day or months or years, I think these little obsessions are what make me myself. They get me excited and give me something to look forward to, even if it’s only for a short amount of time. I thought it would be really fun to share all these little hobbies and phases that I go through with you guys. Hopefully, you’ll read one of these posts and grow interested in the obsession I’m talking about. Or even better, it reminds you of something you’d been incredibly fond of at some point in your life, and you decide to touch base with it again. Here is the first installation of my series, My Random Obsessions! Today’s obsession is kazoos!
Resolutions are huge around this time of the year. Everyone’s thinking about goals they want to accomplish and the habits they want to lose. I love having my resolutions hung up in my room, as it serves as a constant reminder to stop procrastinating and work towards the things you want. This year is going to be a big year for me and here are my “resolutions” for it, organized by what I want to do more of and less of along with a template you can use as well!
Today is my last day of winter break and tomorrow I’m going to have to jump back into the routine of school. I figured that I would take one last look over winter break before switching my mind to school mode =) Here’s a list of random things that happened over winter break!
If you didn’t know, I (like many others) do this thing where I kind of track my school year. I set goals for the year in the beginning, check up on them after the first semester is over, and then reflect on them once the school year’s over. I feel like I measure time in school years, not regular years since the progression of school years is what causes the most evident change in my life. That being said, I figured that since it’s winter break and I’ve got the time to lazy around and watch Joana Ceddia all day, I might as well write this blog post and make some changes to make my second semester even better than the first!
welp im back after a solid couple of months and uh why am i back? well joana ceddia is the answer to that. let me tell you a story and for that my friends, we’re gonna have to start from the very beginning (ie literally yesterday oof)
Holaaa!!! Long time no see dudios! I decided I wanted to peep in and say hi and thought it would be fun to show you guys what I’ve been listening to and watching this past September! In this post I’ll be talking about what music I’ve been listening to, what YouTube series/people/videos I’ve been enjoying, and what Netflix movies and TV shows I’ve been liking! I’m gonna keep this intro short and just get right into the post!
My first day of school was 2 weeks ago (yup im late sorryyyy) and I figured I would give you guys a little peek into my school day. This was originally going to be a Day In My Life but on the actual day of school, it ended up being super hard to take photos throughout the day as things were moving so fast so this will be a Day In My Life minus the photos 😂 sorry y’all
Anyways without further ado let’s get starteddddd!!!!!!
The first day of school was quite a crazy one since we go to all 8 of our classes for 30 minutes each to meet our teachers. Not much happens that day, other than A LOT of ice breaking games.
