Banana Bread-ish Stuff

***Before I start, this will be a relatively long post, so if you just want to see the Meme of the Day, just scroll down now =)

So recently I’ve been doing some baking and I just wanted to share some of the recipes I’ve been using. Here’s a recipe for what was supposed to be banana bread but ended up turning into chocolate-chip banana muffins. Yes, I may have gone a bit overboard with the chocolate!

  • 3-4 extremely ripe mashed bananas (use 3 if you’re not especially fond of bananas)
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract/essence
  • 1/2 cup of any type of milk/buttermilk
  • 1 pinch of salt (optional)
  • Chocolate chips (as many as you want)

  1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees celsius/around 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the melted butter and mashed bananas.
  3. Add in the milk and vanilla and mix all of that together.
  4. Add the sugar, salt, and baking soda and mix that in, too.
  5. Add the flour, but only mix it until it’s combined. Once it is, stop mixing.
  6. If you want, carefully fold in some chocolate chips.
  7. Take the batter and put it into muffin tins. You can top those off with some more chocolate chips if you’re a chocolate frantic like me =)
  8. Pop them in the oven and bake for around 20 minutes. Put a toothpick into the muffins and if it comes out clean, the muffins are done. If not, check in every 5 minutes or so to see if the muffins are done!

I also baked some chocolate chip cookies, here’s the recipe for that:

Anyways, I hope you liked those recipes! I do plan on baking chocolate cupcakes, ¬†other types of cookies, and making pizzas so I’ll post the recipes for those soon!

Happy baking!

Lesson 1- ASGTDAP

Yes. I literally couldn’t think of another title XD

A Stalker’s Guide to Dan and Phil- Lesson 1

Initially, stalk them. Yup. In order to call yourself a phan, you need¬†to know everything about Dan and Phil. What better way than to stalk them? Follow them on all social media and save anything they post. And don’t even think twice about the fan fic! *DISCLAIMER: Although it is great to know stuff about Dan and Phil’s lives, there is a fine line when it comes to privacy. Could everyone please just forget about the Valentine’s Day video already! As appealing as it may sound, no one needs to know every tiny detail about D+P’s lives except for them.=)*

By now, I’m going to assume that if you’re reading this, you know that Dan and Phil are famous youtube celebrities. If you don’t know this-WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOU’RE LIFE!?!?! =) But anyways, while stalking Dan and Phil, you need to watch every single one of their videos. Every. Single. One. Don’t tell me that there are over 700 videos to watch that even vaguely mention, Dan and Phil! That’s the whole point!

A Stalker’s Guide To Dan and Phil?

I’m thinking about making a new series sort of thing called A Stalker’s Guide To Dan and Phil…. I’m not entirely sure if I will do that, but maybe I’ll start by posting one step every day or something. Idk…

Also, something I have decided on doing though is a MEME OF THE DAY, inspired by Phil Lester’s “Draw Phil Naked”.

So anyways, today’s¬†Meme of the Day is:

Congratulations AmazingPhil!

So in case you didn’t know, I am a HUGE fan of these two British YouTubers, Danisnotonfire (Dan Howell) and AmazingPhil (Phil Lester). They’re best friends and probably the best thing that has ever happened to this world.

Recently, Phil Lester reached a very much deserved 4 million subscribers!!! YAY PHIL!!! I just felt the need to write about this, since (for some reason) Dan and Phil are a very big part of my life.

Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you, Phil, for inspiring so many of us members of the Phandom, and keep up the good work!

Lodhi Garden

Hey, guys/future self!

This morning, my family and I decided to go sightseeing (again) and settled on going to Lodhi Garden. Lodhi Garden is a HUGE, 90-acre wide park/grassy area thing located in India. I was quite apprehensive about going since it was really sunny this morning and I figured it would be extremely overwhelming to walk around in the sun all morning, but it wasn’t actually that bad. The whole place is covered in trees, and it’s actually quite shady and nice. Lots of ponds, fountains, and other things like that dot the place and the mist creates quite a cool atmosphere. There are plenty of tombs scattered around the whole property, the most famous one being Sikandar Lodi’s tomb. My favorite part of the entire¬†morning was when we approached these two pink trees. They were¬†exceedingly¬†beautiful, and a whole flock of birds was hanging out over there making it even better. I loved how they have benches practically everywhere since it really is pleasant to just sit down, rest, and enjoy the views that all the pretty trees around are creating. I sat down for a while to just sit and read (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, ¬†by Stephen Chboksy) and it was purely blissful. I encourage you to go there and maybe take some books or an instrument or something like that to do once you’re done sightseeing because it really is hard to find such a vast, well maintained recreational area in India and this was a really good one! Definitely¬†worth visiting! =)

HOPE club- Home Trip

Today, I went on a trip through Hope Worldwide to some children’s homes. There, we read stories to the children and donated some books to the families in order to spread literacy and encourage reading at home. It was eye-opening to see how much poverty exists in this world, not too far from places where we live. As we walked up a narrow staircase to the first child’s home, I was astonished to see a COMPLETELY ramshackle balcony to my right. I always knew that people were not as fortunate as us and that not everyone lived in a perfect world, but I never realized conditions could be this extreme…..

Please visit Hope Worldwide’s Facebook page @hopeworldwide to donate and find out how you can volunteer¬†at a community near you!
